453. My Thought On All The Network Marketing Things Going On

I'm finishing up my makeup because we're about to go to dinner, and I wanted to talk about all the things happening in the network marketing world right now. So if you don't know, let me quickly inform you, there has been two major companies that have shocked all of their network marketers and saying, Hey, like, Sorry, not sorry. Well, I'm sure they're sorry, but like, sorry, we're changing our compensation, and we're gonna have only affiliates and no more teams. And so network marketing is multi level marketing, meaning, like that sales person makes a percentage off multiple levels of their team, as we're affiliate marketing is you only get paid from what you produce. Now, sometimes they do have where it's like you and then who you recruit in one level from affiliate marketing, but most of the times, affiliate marketing is only what you produce that you get compensated for, and you get a percentage of those sales. So they're very, very different, and they shocked a lot of people, and a lot of people that's their only income, like they built a great business around being a salesperson for said company. So here are my thoughts. One, it's devastating, especially for those people that like have been so loyal to that company. They've built the company they like. They didn't see it coming. That's a big shock to a family. So first and foremost, it's devastating. I don't think it's right. I think that there. I feel like there's other ways to go about it, and a company's like, a big company like that, you know, is going to look out for what they need to do. And there's been a lot of regulations in the network marketing company and our network marketing world, and I think a lot of companies are just like, maybe there's another way we can do this, right? So they don't want to have to keep having all this, these regulations, these, this red tape, you know, it's a lot, and rightfully so. So that way there's a lot of, like, monitoring of multi level marketing, because, unfortunately, it has gotten a bad rap. But I think it can be truly life changing. I never have been against Network Marketing at all. I just, I've always said in many trainings, I don't think it should be your only source of income. I think you should always have something that you're building, you're creating that you 100% own. And unfortunately, with network marketing, you make your own hours, and you can make the amount of money that you desire based on the comp plan, but you still don't get to decide the prices. When the specials are, what the specials are. They can change things at a moment's notice, like all of the things. So like, yes, you have, you have way more freedom than, like, most day jobs. But still, it's not your thing. So that's just always been my opinion. And here is, like, my biggest, biggest thought, my biggest intuitive thought, I gotta make sure I like pencil these in, right? I need to brush them out a little bit. So two companies, two major companies, have done this pretty much back to back. And I follow a lot of people in this space, and it's been, it's been so devastating, like, my heart literally hurts for them. And, you know, a lot of them are doing everything they possibly can to, obviously, you know, make the most of it. They can't really control, obviously, what has happened. They can only control how they respond to it. And so a lot of them are, like, joining together, which is so inspiring, and, you know, figuring out their next step. So, like, this is when leaders rise truly, like in challenging, hard times, this is when leaders rise. So here's my biggest intuitive Thank you. Do they look? Okay? Kristen, I'm, like, always trying to check. This is my intuitive download that I just feel this in my core. So I'm a big nerd. I do a lot of research, especially in making money online, so I have been on multiple, multiple network marketing companies, websites recently, not related to this topic. But here's my intuitive download. I've been on other major network marketing companies recently for research, and all of them, all of them that was very loud, all of them gotta make sure my kid isn't like, sticking a. Hand in a toilet. All of them had become a brand ambassador, or like a different type of word, or become an affiliate, and it was side by side, meaning make like, build a team or become an affiliate. Each company had this. Each company, there was only one that didn't have it, but all the other ones that I looked at did, I think, you know, even if they're not all communicating together, they're seeing the trend of affiliate marketing take off. Okay, like it is booming, digital marketing, affiliate marketing, just being an online entrepreneur, influencer marketing, it's taking off. So they see less red tape from a company perspective, that they don't have to, like, go through all of these hoops, right? And they can build more affiliates and have less red tape. You know, doesn't mean that they would be spending less in compensation, I don't know, so I don't want to make that judgment, but at the very least way less red tape, and to a company that is really appealing, right, like to a company that has so much overhead, having less red tape, less you Know, compliance challenges, all of those things are huge. Now here's the beauty of also from a affiliate standpoint. When you're an affiliate, you can be affiliated with multiple companies as where, when you're with partnered with a network marketing company, a lot of them, if not majority of them are very against that. Like I have witnessed friends literally get all of their revenue, like, all their compensation, taken away because they were affiliated with, like, one or more companies. So the nice part from a you perspective, okay, that's what I'm nervous about. No, oh, we did what I thought we were gonna do. So from a you perspective, you can be affiliated with as many affiliate partnerships as you want. So then it really comes down to you becoming the best marketer. And a lot of times, why are we? Why do we keep now we gotta wash our hands, but how handsome is he? We just need to wash our hands. So you just need to become the best marketer. But you're not gonna have to build a team and maintain a team and lead a team. You'll be leading yourself, and you can still inspire people. You can still have accountability partners, you just wouldn't have, like the traditional network marketing team. Are you gonna do my makeup? That's so nice of you. That's so nice of you. Oh, now we're gonna put it in our mouth. Can you put it on me? Oh, thank you. Okay, so it's always your point of view. It's always your point of view, and at the end of the day, I want you to always have things that you fully own. I have gone on an ADHD bandwagon, and I've been like, literally applying for so many affiliate partnerships, because I see where the world is going. And I love affiliate partnerships, because I can keep a lean team, because we don't have to do the fulfillment. And I always promote things that I love. I always test them. I always make sure like it truly is, like my stamp of approval when it's anything, whether it's a software like consumable products, makeup, clothes, etc, but I love the ADHD ness of like, I can have this wide variety of affiliate partnerships earn a commission. A lot of them are reoccurring commissions. It's a beautiful thing. I diversify my marketing, like, of what I'm talking about, I diversify my revenue streams, which is awesome, and equally, I will always still have my own things that I do, always, hands down, always, always, always, I was all I will always have my own thing because of everything happening in network marketing, because even being affiliated with people with other companies, they can still shut down their affiliate partnerships as well. So like, let's say that you are making six figures as an affiliate with a company, they can still legally say, sorry, we're ending this affiliate, you know, partnership for no reason of yours, right? Like no thing, nothing that you did. Maybe they just change directions. Sometimes companies go out of business. Things change, etc. So we always want to make sure you're prioritizing your marketing. We're prioritizing diversifying your revenue streams, and last but not least, you always have revenue streams that are fully yours. You decide the price. I started to go like this, but I didn't mean that. I was like trying to number things. You decide what you sell, the price, how much you talk about it, what it actually is, who it's perfect for, right? Like you control the whole situation, and therefore you truly own your trajectory. So just think about this. Okay, it's always your decision, but sometimes it's nice to have a fresh perspective of like, there's nothing wrong with network marketing. There's nothing wrong with affiliate partnerships. There's nothing wrong with having a day job like I'm a firm believer in all of these things can be a part of your wealthy strategic plan. We just want to make sure you are prioritizing diversification. You're prioritizing marketing, because no matter what you sell, most, if not all, of the things that you're wanting to sell, need to have a solid marketing strategy that is built on consistency. It's built on clarity. It's built on calls to actions, right? Like there is a methodology to marketing, and it's really important you get really, really good at it, which is why, like, I keep extracting my 17 years of marketing and trying to help as many people as possible, because I understand it can be very foreign and confusing. And my goal is to, like, make it so fun and effective and simple for you that you're like, Okay, I've got this thing down pat. Okay, so I just want you to think about these things. Alright, so I really think, to sum it all up, I think you're gonna see more and more network marketing companies do exactly what these two have already done. Okay? But the surprise, the shock and all can be so tough. And you know, I know even some companies have like, promised their network marketers that they would never do that. And I love that reassurance, I do, but it's still important to diversify, even even if your network marketing company never did that, they never changed anything, it's still important to diversify your revenue and your income and all of the things.
